Podcasts are the new DVD extras for the pieces of media you are obsessed with.

When you finish a tv show (or a book) and you crave more, there is probably a podcast, official or not, that dives deep into all aspects of its creation.

The below are three such podcasts that are tailor made audio companions to get as much as possible out of these obsession worthy bits of media.

Shōgun: The Official Podcast

If you aren’t watching Shōgun on FX/Hulu, you are missing out.

It’s a mini-series based on James Clavell’s 1975 novel that takes place in feudal Japan in the year 1600, and it’s great.

As someone who now can’t get enough of the show, the official podcast is an excellent source of behind the scenes magic. Show writer Emily Yoshida takes on podcast hosting duties with mini-interviews with the stars, creators, and crew of Shōgun.
